360 DEGREE LED VIDEO LABEL, COKE BOTTLE DISPLAY - TURNER FIELD, ATLANTA, GA
If you happen to catch a Braves game, you’ll notice that the giant Coke bottle beyond the outfield bleachers is no ordinary bottle. This one is an integral part of the game, entertaining fans with multiple colored LED lighting effects and fireworks. But the centerpiece is a full 360 degree RGB video screen contoured to match the shape of the iconic Coke bottle design.
The 49 foot tall bottle, unveiled in Atlanta on July 16, 2009, with Hank Aaron lighting it up by connecting a a giant “plug” before a game against the New York Mets. The bottle was manufactured by Freeman Company of Dallas, TX, with lighting elements provided by Display Supply & Lighting of Chicago, IL.
Optec-Sansi worked with Freeman and DS&L through all stages of the project, providing a custom engineered LED display consisting of over 3,800 individual linear LED modules of varying pixel pitches that formed the contoured screen. Optec-Sansi technicians were on hand to assist with assembly and installation of the screen and continue to provide ongoing support service.
